Constant change and a tiny step.

Finally a breathing space, realization during these period is that changes are constant , changes never change.  Little steps taken for a healthy environment can also make a better difference. Milk packets:          Recently I came across few articles and posts , that opening the milk packets without cutting off the tip  and just having a slit without separating  the small piece can reduce the number of small plastics entering the soil which never gets decomposed. Karnataka has encouraged citizens in this method. This can be used in any plastic covers we use in our day to day lives.           I hope we could implement this small step.            Comment on if you got any more ideas

Plastic roads- A recycling marvel.

Do you know the seriousness of recycling plastics? Have you heard of the term Plastic road?.  Rajagopalan Vasudevan is known as the plastic man of India, a chemistry professor from     Thiyagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai was the developer of the idea.

He developed a method to recycle all kinds of plastics including the thin grocery plastics for this process. To start with the method of construction of plastic roads, the first step is shredding off the plastics into small pieces. The pieces are then mixed with blue metal gravels which have been heated to 170-degree Celsius, where the plastics get melted and gravels are plastic coated. Finally, the asphalt is added with the mixture, ready for the road.

Is this process in action?

A 50km long road with a width of  4m was constructed in Jamshedpur in 2016 also it saved tons of bitumen normally being used.  Oroville, California laid this plastics road. It made use of 150,000 plastic bottles for every mile of a three-lane road. It is reported that this new process gives a better strong road and more economically friendly. 1,600 tonnes of plastic s used for 1,035.23 km length road in Chennai. Indore, Pune, Surat roads were also done using the plastic road process. Many countries have also taken initiatives in this process.

Would this be a better idea to clear all the plastic dumped landfill?
