Constant change and a tiny step.

Finally a breathing space, realization during these period is that changes are constant , changes never change.  Little steps taken for a healthy environment can also make a better difference. Milk packets:          Recently I came across few articles and posts , that opening the milk packets without cutting off the tip  and just having a slit without separating  the small piece can reduce the number of small plastics entering the soil which never gets decomposed. Karnataka has encouraged citizens in this method. This can be used in any plastic covers we use in our day to day lives.           I hope we could implement this small step.            Comment on if you got any more ideas

Can Banana wastes and Corn starch be our Bioplastic alternative?

Plastics are the major pollutant for the modern world, the risk factors are very well known. With the rising problems scientists are taking humpty number of steps in producing alternative with best biodegradable property.
I came across an interesting journal which speaks about making use of banana peel and corn starch as the raw materials for producing bioplastics. The researchers (Sultan et al.,2017) used banana peel and corn starch along with acid solutions as mixture. The mixture was made into a thin layer and baked to be called as bioplastic film.
This bioplastic film was then subjected to various tests like Load test, Water absorption test, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) characterization, Differential Screening Calorimetric (DSC) Analysis. These above tests were done to identify the strength of the prepared material. At the end of the research this method showed to be a promising outcome for a plastic alternative.
Journals are dumped with infinite ideas like the above by various researches, when more innovative ideas are pumped in reading, we can soon achieve biodegradable valuable bioplastics to protect our planet.
                                Hey we could be heroes!

I would like to give more updates on the field of bioplastics. Kindly do support.
